Two heads are better than one

Having more than one player decide on the best move is not always desirable. The various Kasparov/Carlsen/other GM's versus The World have shown that you can have too many cooks, while there have been some famous games where teams of players have lost surprisingly quickly. But two against two should even the odds, with both sides having to argue among themselves. Nonetheless, it is still possible for two players to overlook their opponents winning trick as this game from 1897 shows.
